Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation. The tower is maintained by the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation.
Accessibility: The lighthouse is not open to the public, but the area around it can be reached after a fairly strenuous walk across the breakwater from Provincetown's West End.
