Deer Island Lighthouse
Near Winthrop, Massachusetts
Location: About 1000 feet south of Deer Island, Boston Harbor

This lighthouse no longer exists (replaced by modern fiberglass structure). The modern tower can be seen from many sightseeing cruises leaving Boston and from a public trail around Deer Island.
Station established: 1890 Present tower built: 1982 Construction material (original tower): Cast iron Construction material (present tower): Fiberglass Tower height: 51 feet (present tower), focal plane: 53 feet. Characteristic: Alternating white and red flash every 5 seconds.
