Accessibility: The lighthouse is on an active Coast Guard station. It is not open to the public except by special arrangement and during open house dates offered by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Click here for the schedule.
As of May 3, 2020, all tours are canceled until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NOTE: Climbing the lighthouse during open houses requires significant physical exertion on 44 steps followed by 8 steps on a ladder. Anyone not wishing to climb is welcome to visit the base of the lighthouse for a brief history.
