Active Coast Guard aid to navigation; home for the commander of the U.S. Coast Guard First District.
Accessibility: The station is closed to the public. The lighthouse can be seen fairly well from the nearby road (Bayview Ave.). It can be seen distantly fron the pier at Salem Willows Park in Salem, but is best seen by boat. The lighthouse is opened for tours in conjunction with Beverly Homecoming Week in late July or early August.
