Accessibility: The lighthouse is not open to the public and is privately owned and is best seen by boat. It can be seen distantly from Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.
Some public sails of the schooner Quinnipiack may go near the lighthouse. but the route is subject to change according to the wind and other conditions. Station established: 1877 Present lighthouse built: 1877 Automated: 1953 Construction materials: Cast iron Height of tower: 45 feet Height of focal plane: 57 feet Fog signal: Automated horn; one blast every 15 seconds (2-second blast).
