Active aid to navigation; owned by Town of Swans Island. The light station buildings are maintained by: Friends of the Swan’s Island Lighthouse. Starting in summer 2017, an apartment upstairs in the keeper's house is available as a weekly rental.
Donations for restoration may be sent to: Swan's Island Lighthouse Fund, PO Box 11, Swan's Island, ME 04685. Accessibility: Swans Island is reached by ferry from Bass Harbor. The grounds are open to the public. The keeper's house and lighthouse tower are open at times in the summer; click here for the schedule.
