Sunset Pirate & Ghost Cruise - August 19, 2016, 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Join Ron Kolek of the New England Ghost Project and Jeremy D'Entremont of New England Lighthouse Tours for a spooky evening cruise on Friday, August 19, 2016.
The boat, the M/V Granite State, will leave at 7 p.m. from Rye Harbor State Marina in Rye, NH. For directions to Rye Harbor State Marina, click here.
Cruise through the dark and mysterious waters off the New Hampshire Seacoast, passing close to three reportedly haunted lighthouses — Portsmouth Harbor, Whaleback, and White Island — as well as the celebrated Isles of Shoals, historic forts, and other spooky points of interest.
Kolek and D'Entremont will lead visitors through the uncharted waters of macabre tales and local legends, sharing stories of paranormal investigations by the New England Ghost Project. Learn about the ghostly "Woman in White" who warns of approaching storms at White Island, the longtime keeper who haunts Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, and more. You'll hear about the famous pirates who have reportedly dropped anchor in the vicinity, including Blackbeard and Phillip Babb.
Kolek is the founder and lead investigator of the New England Ghost Project. In addition to hosting Ghost Chronicles on Ghostvillage Radio and iTunes, he hosts a weekly Internet radio show on Toginet.com and has co-written two books with Maureen Wood, The Ghost Chronicles and Ghost a Day.
D'Entremont has been writing about the lighthouses of New England and other maritime history for three decades. He is the author of hundreds of articles and 15 books, including The Lighthouse Handbook: New England and Great Shipwrecks of the Maine Coast. He has appeared on national TV and radio and has lectured all over the Northeast.
The boat will return to Rye Harbor at approximately 9:30 p.m. For more information, email email@example.com.
